Policy against advertising this specific web site, our goods and services using unsolicited messages.
WE ABIDE BY ALL RELEVANT REQUIREMENTS OF
THE EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE ON PRIVACY AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
APPLICABLE TO BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS EMAILS AND MAKE STRENUOUS EFFORTS TO AVOID SENDING UNSOLICITED ELECTRONIC MAIL TO PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESSES.
Across Europe today, the sending of electronic communications is regulated by the May 2011 European Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications which states that certain principles apply relative to the “country of reception” – this means that the law of the country of the recipient applies.
Accordingly, for UK based recipients there are a distinct ‘country of reception’ set of rules and more information about this can be found on the UK Government’s website by following the link detailed below.
How do the Regulations apply to marketing by electronic mail?
Importantly, the set of rules associated with electronic communication by email is slightly different dependent upon the type of email address – Personal, Business, Charity, Political Party, non-profit Organisation, LLP – and importantly, only communication/email messages that breach these rules should therefore be considered or regarded as ‘Unsolicited’ or ‘Spam’.
We endeavour to ensure that our Mailing List only comprises of addresses that are classified as 'Business' and that the recipients are UK based. Accordingly, the Privacy and Electronic Communication rules which we abide by state that:-
*
We must obtain Informed Consent to Data Acquisition and Storage.
*
An Opt-In to receive electronic messages in NOT necessary.
* If a generic email address is used (e.g.sales@XYZ.co.uk) this does NOT require an Opt-In.
* If a prior transactional relationship exists (e.g. you are an existing or previous customer) an Opt-In is NOT necessary.
*
The identity of the sender must be clear and the email must provide a valid address to which opt-out/unsubscribe requests can be sent..
WE ABIDE BY ALL OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS AND MAKE STRENUOUS EFFORTS TO AVOID SENDING UNSOLICITED ELECTRONIC MAIL TO PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESSES.
